  WHAT HAPPENED?

  The hosts came back from behind twice before finally taking the lead in the 75th minute when United States men's national team star Pulisic provided an accurate cross for star forward Giroud, who slotted the ball home. Pulisic dribbled past a defender before entering the box and dinking over a beautiful pass for the Frenchman, who in turn netted his team's third goal with a first-time volley.

  Stefano Pioli's side, however, failed to hold on to their lead as an own goal by Malik Thiaw in the 87th minute forced the Italian giants to drop points at home. With just three games to go in the season, the Rossoneri will aim to secure maximum points in their remaining matches and end the 2023-24 campaign on a high, at the second position in the league.
